Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information

Overview

Proxe (“we”, “us”) operates a marketplace for creator challenges on the web and Android. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how you can delete it. Last updated: August 15, 2026.

Proxe does not show advertisements and does not use advertising identifiers.

Information we collect

  • Account data: email address, username, display name, bio, social links, and profile photo you provide. If you sign in with Google, we receive the email and basic profile Google shares with us.
  • Content you submit: ideas, comments, votes, reports, cover images, and links to video proof (for example YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or Vimeo). Public posts are visible to other users.
  • Payments: pledge amounts, charge and payout status, and Stripe customer or Connect account identifiers. Stripe processes card numbers; we do not store full card numbers.
  • Notifications: on Android, a device push token (Firebase Cloud Messaging) when you enable notifications.
  • Usage analytics: product-usage events (for example app opens and feature usage) sent to PostHog, our US-hosted analytics processor. Events use a random identifier, or your account ID once you sign in, and contain no advertising identifiers. This data is not used for advertising.
  • Optional AI: if you use idea-assist features, the text you submit may be sent to OpenAI solely to generate suggestions.
  • Technical data: basic logs for security and reliability (for example IP address and user agent), processed by our hosting providers.

How we use information

  • Provide accounts, ideas, pledges, payouts, notifications, search, and moderation.
  • Process pledges and creator payouts through Stripe, including a platform fee.
  • Enforce our Terms, Community Guidelines, and Child Safety Standards, and comply with law.
  • Improve reliability and fix bugs.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Challenge ideas, comments, and similar posts are public by design. We share data with service providers that operate the platform on our behalf:

  • Stripe — payments and Connect payouts
  • Supabase — authentication and database
  • Netlify — web hosting
  • Google — Sign-In (if you choose it) and Firebase Cloud Messaging for push
  • PostHog — product analytics (no ads)
  • OpenAI — optional AI features

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect safety.

Data deletion

You can delete your account and associated Proxe data from Settings → Delete account. Public posts may remain where needed for challenge integrity or law, as described in our Terms.

Children

Proxe is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. You must be 13 or older to create an account. Payment features (pledges and payouts) are limited to users 18 or older.
